Details: Practice Description At the Family & Play Therapy Center, Dottie offers individual, couples, and family therapy as well as therapy for teens and play therapy for children. She has a particular interest in couple therapy of long term intimate relationships. Therapy for adults and adolescents can include optional Sandtray therapy. Dottie directs the post master/post PhD training in Play-Family Therapy (children ages 3-11) and four levels of Sandtray Training: Level I: Children 3-11, Level II: Adult and Adolescent Sandtray Level III: Couples and Adult Sandtray Level IV: Focusing & Sandtray for Adults. Supervision Groups are offered on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and Individual Supervision is by appointment. The Advanced Child DevelopmentCourse – with a component if Play-Family Therapy is a post graduate class offered every other Friday mornings. This is is a comprehensive and practical course for working with children and teens. This is the third time that the course is offered. Approved Supervisor This AAMFT Clinical Member is also an Approved Supervisor. The Approved Supervisor designation identifies those professionals who have met the educational, experiential, and supervisory training requirements to supervise marriage and family therapists, for AAMFT Clinical Membership.
