Details: Dr. James Monk, DC Dr. Monk grew up on a farm in northwest Iowa. He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Iowa and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College in Davenport, Iowa. Dr. Monk continues his education by attending classes in Applied Kinesiology, Applied Neurology, Cold Laser Therapy and Acupuncture. In 1978, Dr. Monk opened his clinic in Chickasha, Oklahoma. In 1983 he was named to Outstanding Young Men in America and to Who�s Who in the South and Southwest in 1986. Dr. Monk has been married to his wife Karen for 28 years. The couple has three children: Josh, who is a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch in Washington D.C.; Sarah, who is a sophomore at Norman North High School; and Christian, who is a sixth grader at Veritas Classical Academy.
